Robert Kistenberg, MPH, CP, FAAOP recently returned from an 8 day humanitarian mission trip to Belize, Central America where he and Michelle Whitehead, CPO evaluated patients, fabricated and delivered 3 transfemoral and 3 transtibial prostheses. Robert is the Vice President of Project Hope Belize, the only organization in Belize that provides prosthetic rehabilitation services. Adrian Camara, who is Belizean born with bilateral transfemoral amputations, is the clinical manager who provides ongoing care for the patients of Project Hope Belize between mission teams.

Another successful Marlo Anatomical Socket (MAS) transfemoral socket design course was sponsored by OPGA and held at Georgia Tech on May 10-11. Over a dozen clinical practitioner participants from around the country took part in the 2-day interactive workshop.

4th MSPO Class Graduates РThe 2007 MSPO class graduated with the award of the Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics degrees. There was a student recognition reception hosted by the School of Applied Physiology the day prior to the Institute’s graduation ceremony. Photos of graduates are available on the Graduates page.
