MSPO Active at Academy Meeting – Georgia Tech MSPO had a strong showing at the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists annual meeting in Chicago. Christopher Hovorka, MSPO program director was selected as Outstanding Educator during the AAOP awards ceremony. The entire MSPO classes of 2006 and 2007 attended the full meeting. Two MSPO graduates, Sarah Parsons and Andrew Sawers presented their research on polypropylene crystalline properties during the free paper session. Graduate Kimberly Hill’s poster presentation on her research regarding body image of persons with limb loss was selected for presentation. Robert Kistenberg, Coordinator of Prosthetics presented the outcome of his research related to a prosthetic clinical practice he manages in Belize.
