Students Receive Award- Two MSPO students in the class of 2011 (Tyler Dunham and Chrysta Irolla) were each awarded $200 from the Orthotic and Prosthetic Education and Research Foundation. Selection of the Student award recipients was based upon the merit of the student’s submission of an application.
Robert Kistenberg presented at the POINT Premier Conference in Tucson, Arizona http://www.pointhca.com/pointpremier/ as an invited speaker. He presented two lectures. The first was entitled “The State of O&P Education” and the second was “Prosthetics in Developing Nations”.
MSPO faculty and students travel to Belize- MSPO faculty Robert Kistenberg, MPH, CP, LP, FAAOP and Geza Kogler, PhD, CO, LO together with MSPO Class of 2011 students Mike Cope and Sheryl Nathanson (along with additional clinicians and technicians from around the U.S.) traveled to Orange Walk Town, Belize to provide Orthotic and Prosthetic clinical and technical services at the Project Hope Belize Clinic. Thirty three patients were treated or evaluated in the 5 day mission including children and adults.
