The Georgia Tech MSPO program hosted the 6th Annual Residency Workshop. The workshop is designed to assist 2nd year students in interviewing skills and networking opportunities for residency placements. Robin Seabrook, executive director of NCOPE was the keynote speaker and a number of residency site representatives from across the nation interviewed students.
Christopher Hovorka, MS, CPO, LPO, FAAOP was featured in the January 2009 issue of The O&P Edge Magazine for an article entitled, “Tomorrow’s O&P: A Survival Guide, Part 1: Trends to Track (read the article here).
Robert Kistenberg, MPH, CP, LP, FAAOP traveled to Iran to provide specialized prosthetic care services for a group of persons with upper limb amputation. The trip was an opportunity for Robert to deliver two i-LIMB Hands (www.touchbionics.com) to individuals who had lost their hands as a result of the Iran-Iraq War.
