Faculty (Robert Kistenberg and Christopher Hovorka) as well as both classes of MSPO students attend the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.
Presentations delivered by Georgia Tech MSPO program faculty:
Robert Kistenberg (coordinator of prosthetics) presented, “POCC – The Prosthetic and Orthotic Component Clearinghouse” – an international outreach effort in which used orthosis and prosthesis components are recycled for devices used as part of a treatment plan for persons in developing nations

Presentations delivered by Georgia Tech MSPO program alumni:
Shane Wurdeman (MSPO class of 2006) presented his research, “Pre and Postoperative Gait Analysis of Adolescents with Complete Longitudinal Deficiency of the Fibula”

Jason Ramsey (MSPO class of 2007) presented his research, “Comparing the Movements of Thermoplastic Non-Articulated Dorsiflexion Assist AFOs and Their Finite Element Models”

Ron Roiz, MSPO class of 2007 continues his series of articles chronicling his post-graduate experiences as a resident in Orthotics at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in the February 2008 issue of the O and P Edge Magazine. Read the article here.
