Grant Award – Robert Kistenberg, Chris Hovorka of the Georgia Tech MSPO program and Mark Geil, Ph.D., Director of the Georgia State University Biomechanics Laboratory, Department of Kinesiology and Health were awarded a grant to develop an online continuing education course in Prosthetic Foot/Ankle Mechanisms. The grant was provided by the Department of Education and the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
First South East Biomechanics Conference 2006 – The first regional conference is to be held March 30 – April 1 at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. The major aims for this regional ASB meeting are to provide a welcoming environment for students to present their research as well as encourage interaction between students and faculty. Due to generous support by the American Society of Biomechanics and the School of Applied Physiology at Georgia Tech, registration and the Friday night banquet is free to all attendees.
